The Hope Club Gets Sassy!

Here's a few shots of the birthday party we were asked to design at the ever sophisticated Hope Club on the East Side of Providence. When our client decided to go with the FUNKY copper fringed linens for the tables, we knew we were designing with COLOR! We designed the tropical centerpieces to POP in that room! As we were walking up the huge staircase to set up and saw the mardi gras beads draped over a statue of Eve, we knew our pieces were going to work!

  

 

 

 

 

Quintessential Spring Soiree

This weekend we had the opportunity to design a Spring themed party for one of our clients in Jamestown. The view of the water and the Newport Bridge was spectacular, making it the perfect place for an event. Even the koi fish were bubbling away! 

Inside the house we combined earthy terracotta pots filled with daffodils, scented lavender, pansies and hyacinths with refined elements like gorgeous cherry blossom branches, french tulips and pearlized ribbon.

Of course when you're setting up for a Spring/Easter themed event, you can't forget the eggs! We nestled beautiful monochromatic colored eggs on top of moss filled terracotta pots.

The result was sweet and made us want to throw on our Spring cocktail dresses and stay for some hors'doeuvres!

 

 

 

Boston Flower & Garden Show!

The FBS team took a day out of the shop to attend the Flower Show up in Boston this week and what an amazing time we had! This year's show theme, "A Feast for the Senses" was chosen to inspire gardeners and designers to experiment not only with traditional gardening but also to explore new ways of adding color, texture, sound and scent. I would say they definitely achieved that goal! We had a blast perusing the booths and exhibits...check out some of our photos:

  

 

 

  

MORE Everyday Arrangements!!

Oh yeah readers, we've been VERY busy at the flower shop! We have been designing away and (thankfully) clicking away, so without further adieu, here are some more of our everyday arrangements!

We LOVE when our clients bring in their own containers, like this awesome "flower pot" below, to have us fill it. This one was made specifically for St.Patrick's day!

 

Nothing says classy sophistication like a gorgeous blooming Orchid plant. You can never go wrong!

 

Here's another Orchid plant we took to the extreme! Nothing like a flowering garden growing along with an Orchid!

 

Below was a special request by a client to have no more and no less than 38 tropical blooms in his wife's 38th birthday arrangement! What an interesting idea!

 

We love doing creative things with our ribbon and raffia to add a whole other element.

Here's another example of filling our client's own pots. This one is of course for Easter coming up in just over a week! How adorable is that polka dotted ribbon?!
