Felice and David's wedding was such a labor of love. After two years of planning, brainstorming, and acquiring more glass diamonds and crystals then anyone could imagine (we can thank Felice for that one!), their wedding was nothing short of INCREDIBLE!!! After choosing Belle Mer for the stage, the couple decided they wanted all white flowers with platinum accents and glitz everywhere. As Felice's family is in the jewelry business, it was only fitting that there were diamonds and jewels on anything that would stand still! We set the tone early on with gorgeous all white bouquets. Felice's bouquet was tremendous....pure white hydrangea with phalaenopsis orchids, roses, mini callas and stephanotis. Each stephanotis had beautiful jewels tucked into their centers and the bouquet was finished with long, stunning platinum ribbon streamers. The ceremony was adorned in all white florals as well with a touch of elegant crystal strands dangling from the 8 enormous white hydrangea and rose arrangements. Elegant tall candle stands lined the aisle and white pillar candles were set upon a bed of crystals. And as guests arrived they were greeted by 2 white and platinum floral wreaths hanging on the church doors.....diamonds were even peaking out of the wreaths too! But if guests thought that the church decor was over the top, they had no idea what was in store for them at Belle Mer! Upon arrival, guests were greeted by a massive platinum manzanita tree dripping with crystals and adorned with white carnation spheres perched in its branches. At the base of the tree, Plexiglas trays filled to the brim with diamonds secured the place cards. Finally, the remaining part of the table was COVERED in diamonds of all sizes. And when I say covered, I mean COVERED!!! You practically needed sunglasses to enter the room! The cocktail table pieces were even amazing...white carnation spheres set upon white square trays filled with platinum mirrored stones and miniature diamonds. Finally, as guests entered the main salon, they were greeted by 3 over the top centerpiece designs...each accented with an abundance of both diamonds and candlelight in varied sizes. Our first design was a platinum manzanita tree set in a garden of all white flowers...hydrangea, roses, dahlias, and orchids...while long crystal strands and elegant stems of white phalaenopsis orchids hung from the branches! Our second design was an incredible cluster of tall cylinder vases, each with an abundance of one type of flower in each vase. For each design we used large open cut callas, white hydrangea, long white dendrobium orchids as well as draping phalaenopsis orchids. With Tony Ormonde's fabulous lighting, this centerpiece absolutely GLOWED! Finally, our third design was a beautiful free form look with callas, hydrangeas, orchids and platinum curly willow designed in a crackle platinum sphere. From beginning to end, this wedding was spectacular in every way. Feast your eyes on all the details captured by Kristin Spencer Photography.
